Sometimes you don’t actually go looking for a new family member because they just decide to show up on their own. For a couple, it all started with a small hole in a fence. A tiny dog named Bella squeezed through one day to find a new friend. Over at @here.comes.bella, the story is actually pretty wild. The neighbor probably didn’t expect a permanent guest. But Bella had other plans. In the video, the little dog (a Chihuahua mix) runs right across the pool area to meet a man on the patio. And the sweet story begins.
Dog makes herself a part of neighbor’s family in adorable video
Once she gets to “her” person, Bella gets up on her hind legs to say hello. She gives kisses, and her tail never stops moving. From the in-video captions, we learn that the family was grieving after losing their previous pet, Dooney. And then Bella just appeared. She helped them feel better.
Next, we see Bella’s person and her sitting on the floor, as the man gives her scritches. It is a very sweet scene. They even cuddle on an outdoor lounge chair and talk. She looks like she understands everything he says.
But things get even more serious. She starts going for walks on a leash with her favorite person. The video shows them chilling indoors on the couch together. Bella puts her head against his chest, which clearly shows she feels safe there. “It all started with a hole in the fence…and somehow, she became family,” the caption says. Even though she wasn’t officially theirs at first, she acted like she lived there.
The clip has over 5,900 likes. And people in the comments are really happy about it. One person said that dogs just know when someone is sad. Another mentioned that she probably sensed they needed her. Since the video was posted, the neighbor has officially adopted the sweet dog. “We still can’t believe she’s ours,” they wrote later. This dog is now a permanent part of the house. She decided she wasn’t leaving, and it worked out for everyone.
